How can one fix the screen on Ideapad y530? There is no way to open it on the side as it seems it is pasted on the lid. Do I use a flathead to prop open the display? I am getting a white dot on the display since two weeks which appears brighter on white displays. Even pressing it doesn't make it go away.

It is not that annoying on a darker background, but if one is typing in microsoft word, there is a bright white dot in the center left of the screen that is distracting.

Thanks a lot for the any help that anyone can provide.
