This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Lenovo z560 isnon Lenovos site but...

    You can't configure it. You can't change the drives,
    memory screen etc.
    Anyone know if this is a glitch or if it will be this way pr a while.
    Anywhere else to order them from? I don't think I can hold out for the new HP Envy 14.

    Most non Thinkpad laptop are not customizable. They usually give you 3 or 4 choices to choose from. Most of the time cheaper models will have all low specs. For example, if you get one with an i3, you'll only get 2G of ram and a 320G hard drive. But if you get the i5, you could get 4G of ram and a 500G hard drive. They don't let you get a i3 with 500G hard drive because they want you to buy the i5 even though you may not want the some higher price models.
