I want to know about the pros and cons of using the Lenovo Hidden Recovery Partition or Clean Install (following the guide by Stallen) for restoring the laptop to the factory state.

That's not quite how it works stewie. Factory restore using RnR have the option for you to choose which drivers and software to install. So it is as good as a clean install without scrambling around trying to find drivers.

I thought one of the ThinkVantage software helps you find and download drivers.....anyway....I agree that the clean INstall is much CLEANER....and more user-in-control.....I guess I might do that later...if I get used to my Thinkpad first....and tired of the bloatwares.
