I've purchased a ThinkPad T520 i7 2620M recently. In the Power Manager tool there is an icon named "Lenovo's Turbo Boost+". I understand what "Intel's Turbo Boost" is and, for what I've read, "Lenovo's Turbo Boost+" is designed for cooling the system so that "Intel's Turbo Boost" can remain active more time withou heating up the system.
By default the "Lenovo's Turbo Boost+" icon is disabled (gray). In this state fan speed and noise are low. If I activate the icon (green) the laptop's fan speeds up and noise increases considerably.
Questions:
1. Do I have to activate/deactivate the "Lenovo's Turbo Boost+" mode manually. Do not the system controls the fan speed dynamically?.
2. If I activate the "Turbo Boost+" and restart Windows, the icon is again disabled. I have to enable it each time. Is this a normal behaviour?
I think I don't understand very well what ""Lenovo's Turbo Boost+" is and how to configure it to optimize the system's behaviour (balance between performance, heat and noise)
Thanks in advace.

No one?

I believe Lenovo Turbo Boost+ just runs the fans at max RPM. The fan will automatically speed up if the option is left disabled, yes. I honestly don't think it has much of an advantage in most scenarios.

Ok, so I better leave "Lenovo Turbo Boost+" off. Keeping the fan at max speed all the time can not be good in the long term. Thank u.
