Anyone here know when Lenovo is going to revamp their horrid Canadian website? I heard a while ago that they planned a re-do of their website for late August / early September, but it has yet to happen. Apparently they were supposed to make their Canadian website similar to the American website which actually allows you to customize your order instead of just picking pre-assembled bundles of garbage.

Just curious if anyone knows when this well deserved overhaul of Lenovo's craptacular Canadian site is going to happen..

It's been like this for over a year. I would absolutely love the ability to customize like on the US site but I am not holding my breath.

Yeah the site is seriously crappy. I doesn't display properly in Firefox if you go to the options page on a model. Also they don't get very many options and the price sux compared to the US.

My uncle can get me 40% off thinkpads in canada, but it still ended up being more after you consider the exchange rate(not so good these days) and 15% tax.

I asked about the T61 14.1" standard screen a while ago and the rep told me more models would be introduced in about 60 - 90 days. Maybe he meant that's when they could be customized through the website. Pure speculation though, no facts to back up my claim, but that could be the case.

I emailed Lenovo a couple weeks ago complaining about their garbage site.
They said they hope to have a new site up like the American one by the begining of the new year....
.....so at the very least, once again, Canadians can bend over and take it in the ass..

why? im not sure? do companies not make that much money from canada, so they see no point in investing?
I would have ordered a notebook from lenovo or dell already from the USA sites.. have it shipped to my uncle in the states, then he could bring it up when i see him next.... but that totally screws with the warrenty.. so if anything went wrong i would have to have my uncle deal with it.

Canadians pay upwards of 30% more for technology than americans do... and its CRAP!
