    Gentlemen:

    My time to give back to the forum where i gained so much.
    Spoke to a friend at Lenovo.

    1. SSD drives coming in 64MB around $500 price range in November.
    2.They are still not sure whether to go with Blu ray or HD.May come in Spring.
    3. No sideshow.
    4. Tech refresh of processor in spring.

    Interesting, I recall you saying in another post:

    Are you having us believe that someone answered that question for you? I am highly skeptical that there are active Lenovo employees lurking these forums looking to PM insider information....but i guess anything is possible.

    The R61 already comes with the Blu-Ray option, it would be very hard to believe that Lenovo would introduce HD-DVD Drives for their other lines. Looks like your "friend" is giving you some bogus info.

    guys...last week i saw the ssd option for $5400! for a 64gb HD..

    i checked the next day and it was gone..obviously a typo with a decimal point...or it sold out...

    btw..what is a tech refresh of a processor?
