The Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovo has been accused of running a "massive security risk" after researchers found flaws in its software.

Three vulnerabilities could be exploited to install malware on users' systems or to hand attackers a measure of control over them, it was reported.

Lenovo acknowledged the findings and urged users to download a patch to resolve the issues.

Wow, first Superfish and now this. To think that I just ordered a Yoga from them recently.

Oh, well. That's just another reason to reinstall Windows every time you get a new laptop.

Is Lenovo just unlucky? I thought almost all notebook manufacturers preinstall bloatware into their models, yet somehow Lenovo gets the worst end of it.

Don't trust "Lenovo applications" to start with. Nor any other bloatware. If you receive new laptop, see if the hardware works fine, then format it completely and start with a Windows disc / stick. End of 90% of problems.
