    Hey Folks,
Thought I would give you a heads up when purchasing from Lenovo online.

I ordered my T61 14" WS 10 days ago. I called the Lenovo service line to inquire about the delivery date. After waiting for 2hours (that's right 120mins!!!) to talk to a customer service agent, I am informed that my computer probably hasn't been built yet. He said the latest that I would recieve it would be "Mid Febuary", which is like 4 weeks after I had ordered it! I purposely didn't add the DVD burner because it would take 3-4 weeks for delivery.

Just a heads up to anyone who is planning on ordering from Lenovo and will need their computer right away. You may have to wait.

Has anyone else had similar dealings with Lenovo both with wait times to speak with CS agent or laptop delivery?

What was the delivery date quoted on your order confirmation?

Sounds like the person you talked to was clueless and clearly didn't feel like bothering to check the real status. It really takes me right over the edge when you waste a lot of your personal time only to get a hold of a moron who won't lift a finger to help. Adds insult to injury.

The OP was referring to the Lenovo Canada website. It is being converted to offer CTO (configuration to order). I think it is only the second CTO site for Lenovo. The only other one is the USA.

The Lenovo Canada site is reportedly testing new software that was planned to be rolled out globally, but it has turned into a disaster.

Delivery delays, order cancellations, lost orders, misconfigurations and missing models (Y510 & Y710) are typical for the Lenovo Canada website at this time. I would recommend that people order by phone only, and avoid the online order process until it is fixed.

If you have already ordered online, and have not confirmed it by phone, you should definitely phone. There is a good chance that your order has been lost.

People who wish to find out more, or to comment, should refer to the folowing article:

My x61 ordered Jan 1, delievered Jan 17. But Lenovo did not show it as being shipped or invoiced until Jan 21st. When they posted the invoice and showed a way to track my order, I already had the computer.

Mine got stuck in customs for a week or so and it took, about 27 days. 36 is even worse, but after you wait for the first 3 weeks time and anticipation begins to slip away heh.
