I recently entered the Laptop Deals tab at the top right of your screen and saw a coupon. The coupon guided me to the education page on the lenovo site where i was looking to purchase a T61. I modified my laptop and the price came out to be $1763 with a supposed educational discount of 6-12%. I then wanted to check what the price was without the discount for the same specs on the same laptop. I did it without going through the educational portal and came up with a price of $1655. Can someone tell me what i am observing incorrectly?

    Discount- http://shoprel.i2.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/2378793/EduPortal/en_US/config.workflow:java-configure?x=x&sb=%3A00000025%3A000001A3%3A
    Normal- http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/config.workflow:java-configure?x=x&sb=%3A00000025%3A0000014F%3A

    Thanks,

    Brandon

well i just noticed when you click the link..the page it shows is without modifications and the specs i want so they are basically useless..but any information would be great.....is the educational discount not implemented until the checking out stage???

OEM games, buy the cheapest. Lenovo is giving 25% off now. See if you can go thru the regular site and add the discount on top of?
