    Hi

I want to use Windows 7 own Fingerprint software I do not want the Lenovo fingerprint software because it has too many stuff I don't want.

When I go to the device manager in win I get the explamination mark Biometic Coprocessor and PCI simple communications controller.

How do I install both of these drivers without any bloatware?

    Thanks

You can probably try a 3rd party driver lookup program like Driver Genius, suck out the driver on your factory install, then reinstall it on your fresh Win7 install. I'll try it out tonight and let you know :)

if you set windows to search for drivers over windows update then you'll get the "win 7" version of UPEK's software.   both this and lenovo's version (which is simply UPEK's software re-skinned and tweaked for efficiency) are far from bloatware though.   the only way you'll use less resources is to disable the FPR entirely.

there are no third-party alternatives for this.   if you want to use the FPR then you'll wind up using UPEK's software one way or another.   lenovo's version is better optimized for your system.

As Erik said above you have either the UPEK software or the UPEK software as alternative :p

Go to the control panel and select "Biometric Devices", the process is rather easy and had always worked for me...

    My 2 cents...
