    Hi
I dont think it has, crucial denies it and other brands too
I checked the Hardware maintainence manual
    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/b590_hmm_en.pdf
It states that b590 has msata port(page 51(57))

    Thanks for both your reactions.
I talked to 2 suppliers in the Netherlands and both said it doesn't have it.
But I'm confused why it is in the Hardware Maintenance Manual.
I talked to Lenovo and they would get back to me, but they don't :(

Hi can't really much on this but if you have a spare msata ssd with you or one of the stores let's you test it, it would be good for you and would also clear many other people's doubt. Just take help from the manual

    Hi,

Lenovo B590 laptop supports mSATA. (model name 20208 or PN: 59-352443)

I just bought a 30GB mSATA SSD made by Intel (PN: SSDMCEAC030B301 ) and I am using it as cache drive on Lenovo B590. It really improves the boot time and launch time of windows apps that have been previously installed on the stock HDD. (between 30% - 50% improvement with an 5400 stock HDD)

Newegg.com - Intel 525 Series Lincoln Crest SSDMCEAC030B301 mSATA 30GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Internal SSD

mSATA SSD is viewed as a "Fixed disk" by the BIOS of the Lenovo B590 and you can partinion it the way you like it.

Please note that the above Intel mSATA SSD does not come with any screws and you will need 1piece of the following screw to mount:

    M2×3 mm,flat-head

Further instruction on how to mount the mSATA SDD on Lenovo B590 you will find here:

    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/b590_hmm_en.pdf

And I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to install and run the operating system entirely from the mSATA SSD, although Lenovo recommends using the mSATA SSD devices only as cache. But then of course you will need a bigger SSD to install and boot OS from it (>60 GB).

However if you will want to use the mSATA SDD as cache then the following link might help:

ExpressCache software is not installed on ThinkPad and ThinkPad Edge systems with mSATA SSD device.

    Best Regards,

    Kuji

    Hi All,
I just browse the net and found out that B590 fits my budget but I have question for those who own this already.
How heavy is the laptop (some websites say 2.1-2.2kg, some say 2.5kg)
How good is the speaker, as I think most of Lenovo laptop has dolby mentioned but this 1 only stereo speaker.
    Thanks
