    Hi guys.

    I need my modem linux driver for Knoppix ! I cant install it in linux ... is there anyway someone on here can help me ?

    my machine is : ThinkPad R52 1846-3WG

    details : P M 740(1.7GHz), 512MB RAM, 60GB 5400rpm HDD, 15in 1024x768 LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon X300, CD-RW/DVD-R Multi-Burner, Intel 802.11bg wireless(MPCI), Bluetooth/Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, IEEE 1394, 6 cell Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro

    Have you done some googling on the topic? I found several pages that discuss Linux on the R52. The best one that I found on a modem driver is this one: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/IBM_Integrated_56K_Modem_(MDC-2)

    Unfortunately, the driver that they recommend costs $15, but there is a eval version that you can try to see if it even works.
