I seem to be experiencing a small problem with my T400. To be honest, I've had the issue pretty much since I got it and it's really odd. Basically, what happens is the computer experiences little momentary hiccups where the system goes unresponsive for 1 or 2s, my mouse cursor gets stuck and pretty much can't do anything. For the most part, I think it happens or is most noticeable in Firefox where I spend most of my time.

Now, I am using the latest Firefox 4 but the issue was also present with Firefox 3. I have my system set up for maximum power savings using the Lenovo Power Manager minus the CPU which is set to an Adaptive State depending on usage. I'm suspicious it may be a setting within the power manager causing the problem. Does anyone have any idea as to what it may be?

Otherwise, my T400 has been behaving beautifully, it's coming up on the is second birthday and it is holding up extremely well consider it's pretty much carried in my backpack every day which is treated rather roughly.

Does Power Manager have a Deeper Sleep option? If so, disable it.

The other place to look is on the HDD timeout. Firefox caches everything on the HDD but if the HDD has gone to sleep then there will be a pause while it wakes up.

Alright, will check those two settings out although I swear I could have specifically disabled HDD timeout time. Thanks! :)
