How come it is not possible to get the [t400 and Windows Vista x64 Business] and get lo jack.

If I switch it to like Vista 32 bit business, then the option appears.

    Probably due to the 64bit.

If Lojack is not compatible with 64bit then it isn't to hard to defeat LoJack when you steal a laptop.... Just put a 64bit OS on the computer.......

Well with that sort of logic it isn't hard to defeat it at ALL...you could just wipe the OS completely and use Linux haha.

This wouldn't be a problem because 64-bit Vista comes with a built in 32-bit emulator which allows you to run any program that is capable of running on Vista.

While this would remove it from the Hard drive and operating system, it would not remove the parts of the program where it embeds itself into the BIOS and certain hardware firmware in the system.

Personally, keltix, I think it is just a screw up on the website. I have seem similar issues on all major manufacturer websites where links or options are randomly dropped because some person forgot to carry over some code. I would suggest calling in your order to Lenovo or at least with your question and see what they say about it.

I don't think he was refering to wiping Lojack from the computer but rather the capability of Linux or Vista 64bit of blocking the communication between your computer's Lojack software and the Lojack HQ.
