If i keep my laptop on Sleep for long periods of time will that cause any problems with the hardware?

Is it safe to transport the laptop in sleep move with it rolling around etc.?

Isn't it better to just always keep the laptop in Sleep mode 24/7 when plugged into AC power granted that I don't care about the low power usage if any?

There won't be any problems if you keep your laptop in sleep mode. But keep in mind that it's not completely off (still needs power for RAM), so once the battery is drained, don't keep the battery dead for too long. Other than that, you can move your laptop around any way you want to as if it was off.

As for it being better in sleep mode when plugged into AC, I don't know the answer. Better than what exactly? It would prevent the battery from draining though.

Better as in wouldn't it be more efficient to keep laptops in Sleep mode at all times rather than doing shut downs and turning it on and off, if it was plugged in w/o battery. If electricity wasn't a concern that is. you can open the lip to ur laptop and have it ready in seconds.

Maybe, but then you have to consider the fact that every once in a while the computer needs a reboot. I think it's a toss-up, but I never transport my computer more than from room-to-room unless it's shutdown or hibernated.
