I didnt think that Lenovo did this bad in repairs, I've sent in before but never had this happen, I originally sent it in so that the Hinge would be repaired along with the keyboard bezel because it had a crack in it, well they replaced the hinge, they replaced the keyboard bezel but now need a new one since they screwed a little to far that the screw is trying to seep out the plastic, not only that it suffers that bulge that the new T and R Series are suffering from because i think they put that keyboard bezel on mine now, the LCD cover is cracked by the hinge, i dont even know how they managed to do that. here are the pics of the damage.

I suppose people like you work in Lenovo too. I do no care what people think, if I paid an amount of money for a new laptop/thing, only I have the right to get it scratched, only I have the right to break it. Why someone should decide for me what is right and how I should care about my things?

I understand him very well, I had similar situation, with Lenovo and some local service center, even they replaced display, they managed to scratch it and to break some plastic stuff, I was lucky and they fixed(replaced), but still is not what I'm expecting from their service.

This proves once again that Lenovo' service quality dropped and by trying to cut costs and having unqualified personnel. I'm not saying that all their personnel is unqualified, just that they allow to have such persons there.

I would like to see your face when you will find your car for example scratched after some service repair. And asking what happened, you will get "as long as car does it's job why do you care?" as an answer.

I think he was unlucky and I agree it very unpleasant. And I do not know what he can do about it, perhaps to get some manager and explain what happened, may be some how they will fix that...

ps: hey where did he go? :)

well i complained and all and they want me to send it back again, i really have no choice but that, i wish they would let me do the work myself but that isnt happening, what really made me mad was the keyboard bezel was on backorder when i originally sent my Thinkpad so i had to wait a week, it was driving me crazy, i hope it doesnt happen again, ill try to keep ya guys updated but i just cant believe this happened.

I'd think they should fast-track it - make you a priority, since they messed up to begin with. That's what any responsible company should do.

EasyServ (Solectron) service back in the IBM days was pretty bad as well. These types of stories were not uncommon. Looks like times haven't changed at all.

this is the first IBM or Lenovo branded laptop that i had sent to warranty, my other thinkpad was fine until it died, i didnt know there service sucked, i have a IBM desktop and used there service before and never had any problems, i guess because i did the work myself, the thing that surprises me is how can you be so incompetent to not even see the damage done.
