What do you guys have to say about the smaller N100? Whats the battery life like with the extended battery and the smaller screen with integrated graphics? Would you say that the N100 is probably the same weight as the DV2000t or heavier?
Since its going to be in my backpack, do you think the keyboard keys will imprint on the screen? Is there something to protect this from happening?
Any other info I should know? Please respond!![]()

I like the HP better. Probably a good idea not to have the notebook underneath all the books.

well theres actually a separate compartment in my backpack (its a diesel laptop backpack) and so I stick it in that sleeve but I'm sure it still feels some pressure there if my bag is rather full.

Weight is ok as long as you'll be carrying the notebook and few other things on your backpack. Also make sure that your backpack has a separate notebook compartment for better protection. 14" widescreen will look just about the right size also especially since you'll be facing closer to it that a regular external monitor

Yeah, right now I'm on a G4 iBook and while I love this little laptop, I feel like this monitor is strangling me! There isnt enough space to do anything!

the keys are well protected by pads from the screen & i get about 3 hours with my 15.4 inch laptop (regular battery tho)

Out of the 2, I would buy the HP.

This is in Canada btw. The US is more important ofcourse so you might have better luck. -
One major difference between the two is the HP's glossy screen. Be sure you try out a glossy creen in your environment before you buy the HP. It didn't work for me at all.

Looking at two 14.1" Lappys. HP DV2000t and N100
