What do you guys have to say about the smaller N100? Whats the battery life like with the extended battery and the smaller screen with integrated graphics? Would you say that the N100 is probably the same weight as the DV2000t or heavier?

Since its going to be in my backpack, do you think the keyboard keys will imprint on the screen? Is there something to protect this from happening?

Any other info I should know? Please respond! :)

I like the HP better. Probably a good idea not to have the notebook underneath all the books.

well theres actually a separate compartment in my backpack (its a diesel laptop backpack) and so I stick it in that sleeve but I'm sure it still feels some pressure there if my bag is rather full.

Weight is ok as long as you'll be carrying the notebook and few other things on your backpack. Also make sure that your backpack has a separate notebook compartment for better protection. 14" widescreen will look just about the right size also especially since you'll be facing closer to it that a regular external monitor :)

Yeah, right now I'm on a G4 iBook and while I love this little laptop, I feel like this monitor is strangling me! There isnt enough space to do anything!

I'd get the larger 15.4" wsxga+ 1680x1050 N100. The one with the 100GB and 1GB and geforce 7300. Nice promos on now, good time to buy.

Bad time to buy turns out. Lenovo has a 3-4 week shipping time, due to the fact that it has to still be manufactured in China. I canceled my order yesterday.

This is in Canada btw. The US is more important ofcourse so you might have better luck.

Too bad. Here in the US I've seen the N100 for sale in Office Depot for like $600 with promos.

One major difference between the two is the HP's glossy screen. Be sure you try out a glossy creen in your environment before you buy the HP. It didn't work for me at all.
