I've noticed many upgrades you can purchase with it, and my question is, what should I get on it? i.e. Core Duo, 1.83, 2 GHz, 2 GB ram, 60, 80, 120 GB HDetc etc. obviously the more you get on it the more the $$$ goes, so for a college student, what should I get? thanx for your help.

It really depends on what you want to do, gaming etc. if you want portability (14") or a larger screen (15") and how much you want to spend, almost always T61's end up being $$$$ not $$$.
