This laptop seems almost perfect for what I need (good graphics card and thin and light 14" portability for under $1100) and I am looking to buy it but Im just making sure it is as good as it seems.

Those who already have this, what problems have you had? Also what are the flaws in it? (like low battery life? bad screen? anything?)

Last question... does it come in widescreen because all I could find on the website is a regular square screen and that doesnt seem as comfortable.

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, the T61p 14" does not come in widescreen at the moment.

    hi,

i just purchased a T61p 15.4" widescreen through lenovo outlet. all i can say is the laptop is awesome. i upgraded mine from a regular 14.1" T61 widescreen, but personally i prefer higher resolution. so... to answer your questions:

no problems so far. everything is ibm quality, nice keyboard, slim and very firm. battery roughtly lasts for 3 hours with a 6-cell.

yes, it does come with widescreen but only for 15.4" version. if you want a 14" T61p ull need to stick with square, and beware, the 14.1" non-widescreen version only has 128MB video card instead of 256MB.

    good luck!
