    Looking to buy a ThinkPad W700ds/W701ds

    This might not be the right place to ask but I been trying to look for a W700ds or a W701ds ThinkPad for quite sometime and they seem to be extremely difficult to come by as most people seem to just throw ThinkPad's in the garbage rather than actually care for selling them.

    Does anyone know where I can buy a W700ds or a W701ds? The reason I am looking is for collectors purpose and no other reasoning, I want a good vintage XP gaming laptop and the ThinkPad have always been much interest to me because of build quality.

    Even if its dead I still be interested in it as long as the outer shell is in good condition and its not completely in ruins, it be good for spareparts.

    They pop up on ebay from time to time. Not many where sold due to 17" being somewhat a niche market for workstations.

    I have 3 IBM X41 Tablet 2 in 1s that need a home though

    So far I only seen a few on eBay that are overpriced by 7 times and they are in really bad shape LOL, no idea what the seller is thinking the regular W700 and W701 sells for next to nothing though but the W700 is only Dual Core.

    You should put the IBM X41 Tablet 2 on eBay those things go for a lot depending on the condition I know people like them for nostalgic reasons, I will keep in mind though in case people I know ask for a touchscreen ThinkPad.

    You might want post over in the Marketplace forum on ThinkPads.com that you're looking for a W700DS or W701ds. They're pretty rare machines, so finding one may prove a lengthy task.

    Yeah thank you all I think I will rather go for AMD Athlon Clevo or Compal and stick the Radeon Mobility HD 4850 in it.
