Ive been noticing on my T61 14" that the plam rest near the fingerprint reader slash thinkpad sticker is a little loose like its propped up i can press it and here it hit the underlying structure i would guess its only about 1-2 mm off the underlying case but its a little unnerving becasue i cant see a screw to tighten on the bottom. Its towards the corner, anyone else notice anything like this?

many people have these issues.....was it this way when your system shipped? or after you installed additional ram?

Mine was fine when it shipped, however, afteri installed extra ram, it is a little loose. I have taken it off and on many times to ensure all latches are locked and it still occurs

I lost one of the four screws on the bottom and my system was as you described. If you have all of the screw, make sure they are tight - for plastic.

My wrist rest has a little bit of give in it on the left hand side. I too have the fingerprint reader as well but that end of it is rock solid. I opened it up when i replaced the ram and hand tightened them down pretty good and it made the issue a little bit better than before.

Do you have an expresscard slot or a memory card slot?

I have not upgraded the RAM yet, It has the memory card reader and the PC card slot, its just a little annoying i have an A21m which is a rather old model that is still rock solid after a complete teardown, but this thing even though ive had it one month and havent touched a screw it feels loose. It just makes me worry about whats to come, I do however plan to upgrade to 4GB of memory within the next few months so ill tighten it up good after that, i miss the day when replacing RAM was as easy as one screw on the bottom of the laptop.

That would be pointless since only t60's recently can support up to 3gb max

This is true, however the t61 can take the whole 4 gigs, just that the OS will only utilize around 3.2gb. He'll be ready for a 64 bit OS later on down the line though ;).
