So I always put my X200 into hibernation the night I have school so I can resume my schoolwork. I noticed that for each night it's in hibernation, I lose 10% of the charge. If I recall correctly, hibernation shuts down the laptop completely (after saving the stuff to the RAM and such) so there shouldn't be a discharge when off correct?

I am always connected via AC adapter when I go [to and come back from] hibernation (because I've set the threshold 21% min and 95% max which meant I didn't have to keep taking out the battery out physically like I used to). I've had this laptop for about four months brand new straight from Lenovo.

Here's what I've done so far:
    1) Updated BIOS
    2) Allow hybrid sleep: OFF for BOTH battery and AC setting
    3) Allow wake timers: DISABLE for BOTH battery and AC setting
    4) PCI express: Maximum power saving for BOTH battery and AC setting
    5) Only thing connected to my laptop at home is a second monitor (which I now remove each time) and 3.5mm cable to my speakers.

    My 9-Cell battery spec:
    Full charge capacity: 83.85 Wh
    Design capacity: 84.24 Wh
    Manufacture date: 2010-02-24
    First used date: 2010-03
    Cycle count: 28

    Any help is appreciated!

Edit: Just disabled Wake-On-Lan in both BIOS and Device Manager, so I'll just see if that does the trick.

Good call Neego, let us know your results.

I've also disabled wake-on-lan and will try Sleep mode....

You'll also need to make sure that any device in the device manager that has a power management tab does NOT have a check in the box to allow it to wake the computer.

Are you sure you are explicitly calling sleep or hibernation? Do you have hybrid sleep on? Try turning hybrid sleep off (like really off in Windows power options, not the Lenovo Power manager) and hibernating and see what happens.

You know, I was going to do that through Command Prompt to list all of the devices, but then I forgot the command for that and couldn't find it on the internet so I guess I'll have to go through each device but thanks!

I am talking about hibernation and not sleep. When I looked at Windows power options, the hybrid sleep was already off so I'm guessing Windows and Lenovo power managements are affecting one another.

Anyways, last night my laptop was around 59% before hibernation and when I turned it on this morning, it was still at 59% woot! :D I guess the Wake-on-Lan in BIOS/Device Management did the trick although I read that it didn't work for some other people. I'll just have to see if it works again the next time I hibernate my laptop.
