    Hi, guys
Can you gimme a hand what could be wrong with my T510, W7 64. I don't have any USB working on any device, stick, mouse, hdd: here is the fact sheet what I have and tried:
-- device manager shows all of USBs, uninstalled and got them detected and installed automatically, status "working properly"
-- tried external hdd with double usb wire and see that power indicator is ON on hdd and it's rolling, but still not detected
-- tried usb mouse: not detected
-- tried BIOS USB alwayse ON enabled/disabled
-- tried Lenovo power manager 6, Enabled/disable alwayse on USB
-- tried some drivers for USB (patches,etc...)
-- nothing on system event log upon usb in/out

Uff that's pretty much all, I think I did explore all soft options, anybody can give and advice what I can try else?
Do I need to buy screwdriver already ?
I got this as a gift from work, and don't think it has any fbi secret things to disable usb, I plan to find dock to check or use firewire-to-usb adaptor

    Tx

Check if it works in a non Windows environment, like a Linux live disc (Knoppix works well). That will help isolate if it's an OS issue or an actual hardware issue.

    Thanks, Tsunade
I tried Knoppix with usb stick, still not discovered.
So I think it's HWare problem, I will try to use ExpressCard-to-USB adapter.
I don't think there is a chance to get it fixed, other then changing MB.

    Thanks
    Dai

Are the USB ports physically intact? I've seen broken USB ports disappear from Device Manager.

Check in the Security > I/O Port Access section of the BIOS. It might be disabled there.

Tx, I and another special guy checked them all, they all in DM installed and "work properly". All of them physically OK, I finished buying $9 Express card with USB ports, works fine now. We checked bios also, nothing alos on Unix, so looks like hd problem.

    Tx all, gentlemen
