    Hi all,
I am having my T61 for about a year. It is now become really noise when in silent room condition. I tried to hear and I think it is from the part under the Fn/Shift/Ctrl area. I don't know exactly what it is, but it sounds like my fan is not working properly, even when I am running on low load.
I have dropped the laptop for several time and had to change my HDD to a Seagate one which is working fine. I have changed the RAM and opend the parts couple times to see the inside. I don't remember when the laptop started to make those noise though.
Anyone has an idea of what it is?
    Thanks.

Did you try cleaning the fan out?
