    Just wondering is the only difference between a LV 1.8 C2D and a NV 1.8 C2D the voltage? Is there no performance difference since they are both clocking at 1.8 Mhz?

    That is totally incorrect.

    As long as the CPU's are identical (i.e. same FSB, same amount of L2 Cache, same CPU frequencey) then there is no other difference between a Low Voltage and a Normal Voltage CPU other than the operating Voltage at different frequencies.

    When it come to the TS actual question, the correct answer is that the Low Voltage version is between 5 - 10% faster than the Normal Voltage version. The reason for this is that the 1.8 GHz Normal Voltage C2D is only available with 2MB L2 Cache, while the 1.8 GHz Low Volatage C2D is from a newer version of C2D's with 4MB of L2 Cache.

    The 2MB L2 Cache advantage for the Low Voltage C2D translates roughly into 5 - 10% of performance advantage over the Normal Voltage C2D.
