    Not a notebook,I know but an interesting problem. Tower will not boot,runs a few seconds on first try then dead. Remove cmos and hold power down then install cmos and it boots fine and will continue to boot and run until you unplug it.

    Then same as above,flashed bios,new cmos battery...beats me. Any ideas would be groovy.

    Don't unplug it. Could be anything - memory, board or PSU.

    Memory has been changed from a known good unit along with a good PS to test,it is a sale unit so I need to fix it. More a challenge then anything.

    I usually repair Toughbooks so this is kinda different for me.
