Q: It's about $150 less now (w/out coupon), what is the best way to go about getting a price match? ala, wait until i get and more near august, do it now w/ a sup. & request an e-mail, etc.

Holy crap, I ordered 2 days after you did and I got mine last month!!

You should've just canceled it because prices now are cheaper.

 

it was an EPP order, AAAAAAAND i don't know ANYONE who had a

14.1 WSXGA+ + Cingular WWAN Card (were backordered) + LCD Camera (were backordered) ship before me



cancelling would have been self defeating, esp. w/ the price gaurantee & only a $100 diff.

 

You didn't have 14.1" WSXGA+. You had WXGA+. And 14.1" WSXGA+ doesn't even exist.

A lot of us had the camera and WXGA+ screen, but WWAN card might've done it.

I don't see why EPP kept you back from cancelling and reordering. It's not like you couldn't have used EPP for a new order. You should've fought for your right to cancel since they delayed your laptop shipment for 2 months.

 

why would i want to cancel & get sent to the "back of the line" when i also have "the right" to a price gaurantee

 

Because price matching screws up your fatwallet and AMEX cash back discounts.

how would it mess up the Tailormade discount? there is no cookie or code for that, as long as they charge that registered Amex card and it is a charge from Lenovo, you get the discount

I don't think so. Lenovo credits you back, and doesn't touch the original charge.

 

I just ordered mine today. Hoping I'm not delayed.

got the WXGA+ WITHOUT camera. And no WWAN card. My estimated ship date is SEPTEMBER 10!!!!! AHHHH!!

I'm hoping it isn't that bad. Not even close to that bad.

 

I feel for you man, we're all in the same boat - my ESD is 9/5.

Every once in a while I poke around in the HP small business website to see if they are offering the WXGA+ screen for their 6910p model (not yet, as of 7/25.)

And paid a pretty penny. Many pretty pennies more than what you are paying for the T61.

 

You're right about that! It's probably $500 more for a machine that's basically the same as the T61.
