Lenovo offers the 2009 version on the software page, but Norton stopped selling that almost 6 months ago. Has anyone ordered Internet Security on their machine? Does it come with 2009 or 2010?

    Thanks!

I didn't even look. Just removed it and put a nice and light Avast Home (free).

Norton is terrible so I would remove it regardless.

I got a T500 in February....and it had 2010 trial which I converted to full version on two machines. It does not slow down the machine at all and I think it is a great program.....it has stopped a lot of viruses. If I had a choice...I would not change security programs.

Norton 2010 is supposed to be great. Completely different then the bloatware they used to produce.

    yeah norton 2010 is great.
but my x201s is shipped with 2009
it doesn't matter. what you pay is just for the subscription, not the software itself. if you'd like to pay for it, you can uninstall the 2009 and download a 2010 version with the same key.

To be honest, I would remove it and get the free ones like Ad-aware, Avast, or Malware Bytes. If you browse smartly and keep your firewall up, you'll be fine. I've not had a major virus problem since... 2006.
