    Making a recovery cd

    I am about to create a set of recovery cd's for my computer. I was just wondering what cd's and how many do I need? I have a DVD-RW so not sure what it takes as in dvd-r or dvd+r. And secondly is there anything else I should know before making the recovery cd's? Thanks.

    1 CD, and 2 DVD's. First the CD, then put in two DVD's. I assume this is for Vista based on your signature.

    For XP it was 2 dvd's, the first one was supposed to be a cd

    For Windows vista, If you bought Thinkpad which comes with RnR 4.1 built-in, it build 1CD+2DVDs+1FinalCD, otherwise, you should have 1CD+2DVDs.
