when i ordered my x220, i noticed the invoice they sent me was incorrect for what i ordered and i was able to call customer service and fix the order before it shipped.

I am double checking alll my componenets to make sure i got what i paid for, how can I be sure my x220 came with the IPS screen? This is prob a dumb question but i dont have anything to compare it to. Thanks!!

The easy test is to view the screen at a really extreme angle; for example, open the laptop all the way.

Do the colors still look normal? (YES --> IPS)

Do the colors 'invert' and the contents becomes hard to see? (YES --> no IPS)

It's a night and day difference between them. You'll know right away if you don't have the IPS.
