The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Malware infection on NBR board?

    Hi,
    on my PC, my anti-virus program (Avast free) reports me that the NBR boards are infected by malware ("Object: http://forum.notebookreview.com/|{gzip}; Infection: HTML:Script-inf"). Avast reports me this since todays morning.

    I don`t know wether this is true, but I think the admins and mods here should check that.

    Yeah, more likely than not, it's a false positive. To be on the safe side, you can switch the forum skin, though. For the latest updates, watch the thread that Hearst linked. Thanks!
