How do I map the fn key on a Lenovo T510 keyboard to a Logitech Wireless keyboard? To come out of the Stand-By state I had to open the Thinkpad lid to hit the fn key to wake up the computer.

Is it really true that nobody in the Thinkpad community uses a wireless keyboard and could get by without opening the lid for Fn keys?

the Fn keys are programmed by the bios, so it'd be damn near impossible to map them to an external keyboard.

Thanks to jaakobi and lead_org for the postings. I will settle for opening the TP lid to do TP-specific functions. Thanks.

i guess the only way is to buy a thinkpad external keyboard from lenovo
there's a FN key on it -
Is there somewhere in Logitech SetPoint where you can map a key or function to the FN key? You may need to dig deeper in SetPoint to see how that works. The FN key emulation may be tricking.
Buy SetPoint is pretty robust, I know SetPoint allows mapping, and I use generic and other interesting mappings for the 7 mouse buttons. You could try to re-task the keyboard sleep button or something. -
But if the objective is to wake up your computer using a wireless keyboard, I believe if you have a USB plug in receiver, you can wake up your computer (from sleep by checking off the "Allow this device to wake computer for standby" in the device properties tab for your keyboard.
