I have a 3 year old Lenovo T60 and my Mata DVD-Ram UJ-842 reader seems to have stopped working. It powers up when a disk is loaded, and sounds like the disk is turning, but neither the disk content nor any acknowledgment of a disk appears on the screen. I have tried deleting and replacing the driver and the IDE controlled to no avail. I see a yellow warning symbol at the Mata DVD-Ram UJ-842 reader in the device manager.

Any Ideas as to what to try next ? If there is a tread discussing this I would be happy to read that first.

Your best course of action would be to try another drive if you can, but you'll probably just have to buy another one.

Can you get a Linux live disc burnt on another computer and test it on this DVD burner.
