    Hi,

I can't get max brightness while on battery power in the BIOS. I have the latest one. I have a W500 and it bothers me as I'm in pretty brightly lit classroom environments alot.

    Any help?

You can change the setting via the power manager and it will work to the same effect.

It doesn't work. I can assure you that on max performance with everything turned on, max brightness, etc, when I unplug the laptop, the screen brightness goes down a little bit.

I have had thinkpads before so I know you can change this in the BIOS, but the option doesn't exist on the W500! Can anyone confirm this?

T400 same thing. On ATI settings, max power plans, it dims a little bit on battery power.
