I am considering to upgrade my 3000 Y410 from 2GB to 4GB RAM but am not sure how to take the SODIMM out after uninstalling the memory cover. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

press the metal pins apart and the end should pop up of the memory stick. then slide the stick out when it is at the angle.

Make sure your OS is a 64bit OS. If not, your system will only recognize 3gb even if you have 4gb installed.

If you don't know how to do it I suggest you to visit a Best Buy and have it installed by the Geek Squad. Their fee is only $39
