While I was waiting for my T60p to arrive, I asked on this board where the second memory module goes because the hardware maintenence manual was not very clear. I was not able to get an answer, so I ventured forth, after receiving my new module in the mail, into the unknown. I followed the instructions for removing the palmrest, and it was instantly obvious. A simple photo would have made it all so easy to understand before my computer was in my hands. I know there are others waiting for their t60's to arrive, and some are new to the thinkpad, so for them I offer these photos of the installation.

    Just to note:
My t60p came with a 1GB hynix module, and I installed a 1GB kingston module. So far everything checks out ok.

The first photo shows the single module with the empty slot above and behind the first. The second photo shows the second module installed on top of the first.

very helpful photos for new users. I also faced the same problem, but took the risk and went ahead installing memory without reading any tutorials/etc...I did not have a camera handy at that time so I could post the snaps for someone else to look at them

I do appreciate your photos, on my Asus laptop I can see only one memory module and that was confusing me, where is second one, and if I will face same problem with my T60.
