    Hello All,

I am newbie to this forum and have little knowledge on pc/laptop hardware stuff. I bought Lenovo T61 (model # 64607EU) from newegg and want to upgrade memory.

FYI, here is product link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834146333

As per information from the web site, I looked at following RAM @ buy.com, but not sure if itÂ’s correct for my laptop. Please look at the details and provide your valuable comments, and/or suggest a right one.

    Thanks a lot,
    Cnu

Yes, that should work. Some people recommend having the same size sodimms in the two slots (2x1GB or 2x2GB). I am surprised Newegg didn't have a better deal on memory.

    Hi webvanguy,

Thanks a lot for quick response.
In that case, will there be any issue in terms of RAM functioning and performance if I leave existing 1GB-1Dimm as is and add this new 2GB-1Dimm?

The RAM should still function fine, its just that some people say that the performance is slightly better when you match the size of the RAM. It really isn't that big of an issue though, and there is a limit to how much memory your system can use(many systems can only go up to 3GB RAM), so you ma want to check that.
