I just ordered a T400 with Vista and was wondering if I could put Office 2003 on it. Reason being is I didnt get Office on this laptop and 03 office is the only one I have. Just wondering if I would mess up anything.

    Thanks.

It will be fine to install Office 2003 on your new T400. If there is a trial Office 2007 copy that comes with the machine, I would recommend uninstalling it before putting 2003 on.

For my money, the older Office packages (2000 & 2003) are more user-friendly anyway.

It shouldn't mess anything up. Might be a good idea of uninstall the trial offer of Office 2007 they might have given you. Don't know if both versions can coexist together.

I can confirm that Office 2003 does indeed work in Windows Vista, as that is what my dad prefers, and Office '03 is hence installed on his desktop with no issues whatsoever.
