So i ordered the Rdvd with my laptop and have a few questions about it:

    1. Does it do a full install of xp pro, meaning i don't have to hunt down drivers and IBM software?

    2. Will it erase my Vista, and it's recovery partition?

i got one but i didnt use it...i doubt you have to hunt for all the drivers

the point of the recovery disc is i think to erase vista and install XP on your own..so yea it should erase vista

the recovery partition is a backup in case of a catastrophic error
you likely will have a partition made to recover XP, but Vista, idk?

If you format your pc, will you be able to install XP with the DVD - or do you have to install Vista first, and then install XP afterwards? (= fail)
