I just got my x230 today!, overall pretty happy with the machine, everything is perfect except some minor things on the keyboard.

Does anyone elses esc key or delete key feel less springy than the rest? the key isn't sticky but is just when I press the esc key down it doesn't click like the other keys.. it functions correctly, however it seems weird.

Also I have a pretty wide scuff mark on the right shift key.
Other than these, the machine is perfect, no dead pixels on the IPS screen.

Are these things big issues? or did I get a perfectly fine machine. Im not going to return it, but was wondering if other people had these issues.

New things ive found now were that the left and right sides of the screen bezel are not attached, I can tap it and it move back and forth. If I look directly from the side I can see a gap going through to the other side, and
was wondering If anybody else is experiencing this with their x230.

Looking at Lenovo's removal tutorial of the bezel, I can see on the picture of what looks like clips that clip on?
I can see those " clips" when I look through the gap on the edge of the bezel.....

Should I be worrying about this? If any x230 owners can chime in, i'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

If you want you could get a replacement keyboard very easily. Just call customer services at IBM, they'll ship one out for free if you ask.

And seems like your display bezel popped out, any chance of it clipping back on? If not, it may be a defect.

The first thing that came to my mind was to press on the bezel to make it snap in. But, from what you said, I feel that some of the small plastic hooks might have been broken. Or the bezel might have been molded defectively, such that those hooks might not be well formed to serve their function.

Will they ship a new keyboard out that easily?

Yeah, they'll probably call in a technician for that bezel though, or you can ask them to send that part also depending on what the problem is.

Yeah, Lenovo support is pretty liberal about sending out CRUs.
