I have a Dell 2311H hooked up to my thinkpad mini dock and it is too bright for me despite the brightness level being at 0. Is there a way to dim down my monitor?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm no expert, but I don't think so.

Another thing I do is to lower the contrast down to 0 also. That will give it the appearance of being even lower. Usually at night I drop my brightness and contrast both to 0.

Other than that, wearing sunglasses.... kidding of course.

You could try intentionally miscalibrating it. Go into the graphics control panel setting for brightness, and drag it to zero. Don't hit Ok or Apply so you can just cancel out of it when you're done working in the dark.
