I doubt it will be less than the current prices. The big question is will the prices return to pre sale prices of last year, or are the prices down to stay.

When you've dropped prices for as long as Lenovo has (I think it's been 3-4 months now), it gets harder to raise them back up again.

    I'm hoping prices stay down.

well, I predict that the prices will stay down until the new models come out, then they have an excuse to raise the price again. I just placed an order for the X61s because I don't think I can find an ultraportable for <$1000 again.

I think they'll try to get it out right away on the T series like they did with Santa Rosa. The R and X will come later. Just my 2ยข.

No doubt Lenovo will update the ThinkPad line in due course. For the moment I will stick to the T61 and wait for Nehalem in 2009, that will be the real "major" update.
