    More RAM Speed for X201 Possible?

    There is typically a reason why 'faster' ram is cheaper -- timings. Sure, it will do 1333, but at 10-10-10-30 timings ;) The ever-so-slightly more expensive ram may 'only' do 1066, but it probably does it at 7-8-8-25 timings. Something to think about.

    GSkill as a DDR3 8Gb set on NewEgg for ~$200 that does 1066 at 7-7-7-20 1T on my Y460, which is pretty awesome. Windows Experience Index score of 6.9 for ram? Yeah :D

    Yes, but real life performance difference is none, so why pay extra for a bigger imaginary number... unless you have money to blow or are the hardcore benchmarker (and none of the people in the latter category would dare include WEI as a benchmark).
