    More T400 dock problems

    The T400 does not support docking very well. As reported in another thread, you can't boot in the dock. Additionally, waking from sleep in the dock does not get the DVI monitor resolution right. I have to manually set it each time. Even worse, ejecting from the dock no longer puts the system to sleep. You have to undock it, open the lid, wait for it to sort itself out, then close the lid to go to sleep.

    Thank you for confirming my experiences. At least I know I don't have a defective machine. I'm hope it's a BIOS issue that can be fixed in a BIOS update. I called tech support yesterday and the guy said "yes, we've been getting a lot of calls about this issue and engineering is aware of it."

    Yeah, docking can be flaky right now. The price of getting a new model.

    Hasn't been too bad in my case. My T400 boots fine in the dock with an analog display; either with lid closed or with extended desktop.
