It's normally to take more than 2 minutes to start and load all startup programs, with 4gb of Ram?? Thanks

Depends on how many and what they are (example: Norton = bad).

it´s not the ram that is responsible for slow / fast OS startup. it´s more a mixture of hdd speed, processor performance, and the amount of crap installed on a system. the more bloatware you have installed, the slower a system loads.

I have a machine with a clean install and romoved Lenovo crap and one with out a clean install and all the Lenovo crap both have the same hardware. It takes forever to boot up the one that I didn't clean up like you said 2+ min. But the one that I did a clean install on and removed bloatware from starts up in about 30sec.

    jooooeee:

are you running vista? does a clean install vary THAT much, or did you also disable sidebar and aero?

do you use all the thinkvantage utilities? they're most likely the culprit. Also disable all the office related programs under the startup tab.
