My dvd drive is dead and my laptop is under warranty (2 yr onsite). I cannot for life of me find a number or anything to call to get support... can someone point me in the right direction?

Go to the maker of the laptop's website and then up on the top or bottom there should be something that says "contact us" or "customer support".

Did you try to remove the drive and put it back on? Sometimes they get disconnected and it's quite easy to do this...
