    Dear all,

I cannot longer play or access my DVD drives. The drive letter is not showing on Computer section in Vista.

In device manager, at DVD/CD Rom drive section, there is a yellow exclamation mark on HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T30N.
On its properties, General tab, there is a error message :
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I tried to download the correspond driver for the DVD drive but with no luck. There is no driver directly from Lenovo, it uses Vista default driver.

Microsoft knowledge base site clearly states that this is registry related problem.

I downloaded free registry cleaner program CCleaner, http://www.ccleaner.com/, with also no luck. It cleaned up the registry but my drive still is not showing on Computer.

Any help to restore the drive without reinstalling Vista? I do not remember what updates i have applied (mostly automatic). But i rarely install programs.

    I use R400 7443-TGA.

    Please help me. Thank you.

You tried deleting the drive in device manager? This may be of interest.
