The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    After a long faithful service of downloading torrents to be forewarded to my other computers: my IBM 600 died. Not sure if the HDD is at fault because I heard some typical clicking sounds weeks ago. Ran some tests before that and everything was ok. It just won't boot up. -- plus I don't even have the CDs of it anymore. Blank screen. Dead. Muerto.

    Edit: I guess it didn't help it ran 24/7 for over 8 months straight either...
