    Hi there,

So my SL400 took a fall on the ground today while it was in it's sleeve. Although it may have prevented bigger damage, it put a 1 inch crack on the side of the monitor's bezel. Also, the lid does not close all the way shut now (1mm-2mm gap). I fired the laptop up and everything looks to be running smoothly so far.

Will the included "1 Year Depot/Express Warranty" cover the damage? If so, what's the turnaround like (Toronto, Canada)? Did a few searches and did not find anything.

    Thanks.

Since this is accidental damage, your warranty doesn't cover it, however, Lenovo may be willing to help you, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Darn, this post is making me think twice about that accidental warranty.

I would back up all your essential files off the harddrive, as the harddrive might be damaged. Once your files are backed up find some programs to check your drive for damage.
