This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     My T400 forgets screen settings

    I use an external monitor (integrated graphics, xpsp3) and 9 times out of 10 I get a different lower resolution and screen refreshrate when I start the computer up (compared to what it was when I turned it off). It does not matter where I adjust this (the Intel utility or the other way).
    Sometimes it deciedes I now want to clone the screens too.

    Why is this happening?

    Does anyone else have the same problem?

    this is the problem of using the XP pro on the T400 with the newer graphics card, i had this issue too and i ended up using Win 7 when i couldn't resolve the issue.
